Filing Motions for Relief from Stay

If someone who owes you money has filed for bankruptcy protection, that filing imposes restrictions on your ability to try to collect the money owed to you.  It may be in your best interest to file a motion with the bankruptcy court to remove those restrictions.  This motion can be particularly useful for certain creditors, such as car lenders and landlords, who are not receiving their regular payments.
