Joseph Sherman

Mr. Sherman specializes in eminent domain and property rights litigation. His aptitude for trying cases against the government to juries and judges informs his newfound affinity for defense of citizens in criminal prosecutions. Mr. Sherman’s experience includes trying more than a dozen cases to juries in federal and state courts and an appellate practice at the Court of Appeals of Virginia, the Supreme Court of Virginia, and the United States Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit. Mr. Sherman studied at the College of William & Mary, the University of Cincinnati School of Law, and William & Mary Law School in addition to William & Mary’s Mason School of Business. He teaches mock trial and coaches wrestling in Norfolk public schools.
